Is this safe and non-toxic?
We formulate our products without petroleum, parabens, phthalates, or synthetic fragrances. It’s all the good stuff and none of the bad stuff.
What is the shelf life of the lotion?
It is shelf stable to for up to 18 months if kept clean, cool, and dry. We do not recommend keeping it in your vehicle. There are no heavy preservatives to keep the lotion from cooking in the heat of your vehicle, especially in the summer, and it may separate if it gets cold enough to freeze.
Can I use the lotion on my face?
Absolutely! Our lotion is gentle enough for your whole body, including your face. It also works great as a beard moisturizer!
Can I use the lotion on my baby?
We recommend the Unscented lotion for children under 2. While our fragrances are gentle and plant based, we went to make sure our products are as a gentle as possible on your little one’s skin.
Why do you use glass jars for the 2 oz. size? It’s so heavy for my purse!
We get it! The 2 oz jar is a great size to toss in your purse, gym bag, or carry-on, but it does weigh a tiny bit more than a plastic container. We’ve moved away from plastic for two reasons. First, as much as possible we want to move ourselves and our products away from single use plastics. Second, we found that the consistency and scent of the lotion changed over time in the plastic jars. To ensure the highest quality product, we switched to glass jars and haven’t looked back. While we’ve considered other dispensing options, this is what we’ve found to be best for now. We encourage you to reuse or recycle the glass jars, and if you’re local, we’ll gladly buy your jars back from you.
Why don’t you have more scents available?
We have our Core 6 year-round: Unscented, Nectarine & Ginger, Lemongrass & Grapefruit, Lavender, Gentleman’s Blend, and Berry Vanilla Bliss. These are the scents that our long-time customers have narrowed down to their absolute favorites. We’re a small company, so we focus on what will work best for the most amount of people. We also rotate in a seasonal scent once a quarter, and a few of our retail partners have scents exclusive to their location. If you’re looking for a specific scent, or missing one of our seasonal scents, you can special order a small batch.
